During this mock trial, Teams 1 and 2 presented the Brown v. Board of Education trial to the class. Here is a little information about the case. Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka, 347 U.S. 483, was a landmark United States Supreme Court case in which the Court declared state laws establishing separate public schools for black and white students to be unconstitutional. With this case came the NAACP which stood for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. Even though learning about this case was fun and interesting. It was hard being team two and having to be the bad guy of this case. It is hard, as an African American female at a PWI to defend anything that is anti-slavery. Team one had some amazing points and pulled out the win and our team tried our hardest to provide information.
