The Women's March took place in Washington DC on Saturday, January 21st, 2017. This was a worldwide protest to advocate legislation and policies regarding human rights & other issues, including women's rights, immigration, reform, the natural environment, LGBQT rights, racial equality, freedom of religion, and workers rights. The rallies were aimed at Donald Trump, immediately following his inauguration as POTUS largely due to statements and positions attributed to him regarded by many as anti-women or otherwise offensive. This march was the largest single-day demonstration in U.S history. This was organized as a movement to "send a bold message to our new administration on their first day in office and that women rights are human rights." This movement drew at least 500,000 people and world participation has been estimated at 5 million. This is the largest political demonstration since the 1960's and 1970's. Crowds were peaceful, no arrest made in Washington, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, and Seattle. It was estimated that combined of 2 million people marched. This is what we are born to do... Stand up for what we believe in and the women March did just that.
